Matthew Patrician was born and raised in Calgary, AB. He was involved with basketball at an early age, playing community basketball and then joining CYDC at 12 years old. Playing JR high basketball, as well as being on the provincial finalist basketball team in 2012. Matthew continued to play with CYDC on one of the top teams in Western Canada. After high school, he continued his athletic career playing 3 years at St. Mary’s University College in Calgary.
Matthew’s coaching credentials include club basketball at Vision for 3 years, 1 year of experience assistant coaching Lord Beaverbrook High School and just wrapped up the Jr High season at Christ the King. Matthew’s main coaching philosophy is about instilling high-level habits that contribute to success on and off the court. Understanding hard work, skill development and helping the next generation of basketball players reach their goals on and off the court.
