I have lived in Calgary my whole life since moving to Canada. Basketball has always been a passion of mine and will always be until the end. This sport has played a massive part in my life, on and off the court, teaching me lessons that others cannot. Basketball is a sport that has also helped me grow and build the person that I am today. I’ve been playing basketball since grade school, high school, and even since reaching my adult stage, being involved in different community and club basketball teams when I was younger and competing in various leagues in Calgary as an adult. Nothing brings me more joy than being able to make a positive impact in someone’s life by helping them grow and improve not only as a player but also as a person. I believe that success is a product of hard work, discipline, open-mindedness, and accountability, which are traits that can be gained from the game of basketball. As a coach in CYDC, my goal is to bring 100% of what I have to the table and create a positive difference for every player that I encounter. My favorite quote that I continuously live by is “Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.”.
