Goanar Reath, known to many as "G," has always had a deep love for basketball. During his time at Lord Beaverbrook High School, where he played all three years, and later with the CYDC Panthers, G’s passion for the game expanded. The Panthers taught him invaluable lessons in discipline, teamwork, and resilience, which he applies not just in basketball but in his daily life. These experiences shaped G into the player and coach he is today, someone who sees basketball as a tool for personal growth.
As a coach, G is dedicated to sharing these lessons with the next generation. After working for two years as a skills trainer with the Calgary Selects Basketball Club and coaching for a year with the Legends Basketball Club, he focuses on developing his players both on and off the court. Inspired by Kobe Bryant’s mindset, “I’ll do whatever it takes to win games... or hit the game-winning shot,” G emphasizes hard work, perseverance, and the ability to translate basketball’s lessons into real-life success.
