Program Update

CYDC Family:

As we are sure you are aware, the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise within Alberta and the health system is starting to become stressed with the number of hospitalizations, especially those needing ICU care (currently sits at 75% of capacity).

In order to help slow this rise, and potentially reverse the increase, Alberta Health in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer of Health have decided to impose a pause on certain activities. These targeted measures will start November 13th, 2020 and will end November 27th, 2020 (2 weeks) During this period, there is a ban on all team sports, therefore we will be pausing all CYDC sessions until this period is over.

We will be sure to keep you updated as the situation is re-evaluated. For more information on this matter please refer to the Alberta government’s website. Coach John Hegwood is encouraging all players to continue to work out at home and utilize the CYDC YouTube videos to stay active.
